About this study

Thank you for your interest in participating in the study. We, Alice Loizeau and Mathieu Nancel, are researchers from the LOKI research group at the Centre Inria de l'Université de Lille. The following text elaborates on the purpose and procedure of the survey. If you have any remaining questions about this questionnaire, do not hesitate to contact us following the contact information given below.

Purpose

The aim of this survey is to better understand how people react to incidents occurring on their everyday devices.

What you will be asked to do

First, you will be asked about your age, gender and profession followed by multiple choice questions about your experience with different devices.
Then, you will be presented with situations that can occurr while using a device. For each situation you will be asked to remember a general memory of the incident, or a specific occurrence. You will answer different questions about that memory: the consequences of the incident, the emotions you felt, the impressions you had etc.
After completing the questions for each situation, you can choose either to continue the questionnaire and see another situation OR to go directly to the end of the questionnaire and send your answers. That way, you can control how much time you dedicate to this study.
